Gun Laws

I have no plans to confiscate anyone's guns, far from it. I am and have been a licenced gun owner for four decades now. I live and spend the majority of my time in rural areas of this country and I understand and respect the gun culture that exists here.

The continued suppression or the adding of government hurdles to legal gun ownership has nothing to do with safety. It is just taking yet again another right away from us individually to own firearms legally.

I believe that the current background checks and regulations are sufficient, and imposing more restrictions on law-abiding gun owners serves a different purpose altogether.

Each state has its own system for registering guns, so what's the need for a national registry? Let's focus on keeping communities safe without infringing on the rights of responsible gun owners.
