Unfortunately, the dream of owning a home is becoming increasingly unattainable for many Australians due to high mortgage rates, escalating property prices, and stagnant income levels.

As the costs of home ownership continue to soar, rental prices are also skyrocketing. Consequently, only those in the top income bracket can afford to purchase a home, leaving younger Australians with little hope of ever owning property. Instead, they are forced to rely on impersonal corporate landlords who have the power to relentlessly increase rental rates.

By working together, we have the potential to enact changes that will make home ownership accessible to millions of Australians and reduce costs for countless others.

The housing crisis and rising financial stress are pushing more than 1,600 people into homelessness each month as demand for sheltering services soars.
