I propose implementing a federal tax on cannabis, with the revenue specifically earmarked for treatment and rehabilitation programs.

I aim to establish a network of detoxification and renewal centers nationwide. These centers will be dedicated to addressing the increasing prevalence of mental illness, PTSD and addiction.

By implementing a robust taxation system on cannabis sales, we can generate revenue to fund addiction treatment programs for our youth.

And not to mention, legalising cannabis will also help free up our police, jails, and courts. Cannabis has been used for thousands of years, and although some may view it as a gateway drug, it's important to focus on the positive impact it can have on our society, especially from a medical perspective.

It just doesn't make sense to keep wasting resources, time, and effort on a prohibition that hasn't been working for decades. Let's shift our focus to the benefits of legalisation instead!
