Parental Rights

The debate is undeniably intense, touching on a wide array of topics from COVID policies to curriculum decisions and sensitive classroom discussions about race, gender, and sexuality.

When the term "parental rights" is mentioned, it becomes apparent that there are diverse interpretations and aspirations attached to it.

Many people feel that parents should have more involvement in the decisions made by schools, leading to the idea that they have been excluded from crucial aspects of their children's education.

It’s important to recognise that discussions around parental rights stem from a genuine desire for more say in their children's educational journey, reflecting a deep-rooted concern for their well-being and future.

I strongly oppose the idea of taking away parental rights. I believe that educational authorities should not interfere with the special bond parents share with their kids.

If I am elected, I will explore new schooling options, including the possibility of creating a whole new system. This will give parents the freedom to opt out of the current educational system, which I believe has overstepped its boundaries.

Let's work together to find better solutions for our children's education!
